Organic Riceberry is a rice variety from Thailand, created by hybridizing of jao hom nin Rice and Thai white rice. The grain rice has a reddish-black color. Riceberry is a healthy grain, low calorie, nutritional value and numerous health benefits popular among vegetarian, vegan, and health-conscious consumers. Riceberry has a unique taste, more sticky than other rice. It has a sweet, oily taste. When eating, it will be heavier than normal jasmine rice.
Riceberry is known for its high concentration of antioxidants such as anthocyanins, which are responsible for its dark purple color. These antioxidants protect the body from free radicals that can lead to cell damage and chronic diseases. According to a study, riceberry contains 2-3 times more antioxidants than other types of rice, making it a powerful superfood.
